Hello, I'm Shermaine, I am 21 years old this year, born in 2003. I hold a Nitec qualification in Pastry and Baking. Beyond my academic pursuits, I find joy and creativity in various hobbies. Baking and cooking are not just skills I've honed through my studies but are also activities that bring me satisfaction. In addition to my culinary interests, I indulge in the worlds of cosplaying and drawing, allowing my imagination to thrive in different dimensions.
Feel free to explore my diverse works across the different categories on this site.
I'm excited to share my creations with you!
Past Projects I've done:
2018-2019 / K-pop fansupport

From 2018 to 2019, I managed a fan account on Instagram with a substantial following of 10,000 BTS enthusiasts worldwide.
In addition to curating engaging content, I invested considerable effort in crafting my own fan support merchandise for BTS and also some other cherished idol groups. Here's a sneak peek at some of the fan support items I personally designed during that dedicated period.

Here's how it worked: individuals could choose one design of their preference for free by following my socials. However, for those desiring the complete set, an additional fee was required. Notably, the featured fan pack above that included a transparent handheld fan, was specially created for BTS' concert in Singapore.

In addition to my fan support, I initiated a thoughtful project, funding it with my personal resources. Acknowledging the time constraints faced by those queuing up for the concert and merchandise booth, I organized the provision of packed snacks. This effort aimed to guarantee that attendees had sustenance, recognizing that the excitement of the event might leave them with little time to secure food for themselves.

Reservations are facilitated on Google Forms, individually crafted for each set of fan support I've designed. This process ensures efficiency and accuracy in managing requests. The gathered data is then tracked and organized using Google Sheets, allowing for a systematic and organized approach to handling fan support reservations.
2020-2021 / Cosplay Pre-orders
Taking into account that many individuals were still unfamiliar with Taobao in 2020, I took the initiative to assist people in placing preorders through Carousell. This involved managing the entire process, from handling the orders to overseeing shipping and packing on their behalf. To further simplify the experience for them, I personally translated all relevant information from Chinese to English, ensuring a smoother and more accessible navigation through the process.

The example above provides a glimpse of how my Carousell listings were structured, and I extended this approach to various cosplay sets. Through managing preorders, I garnered many positive reviews from satisfied buyers too.
2022-2023 / Anime merchandise group orders
Upon uncovering websites that offered direct shipping from Japan for second-hand anime merchandise at significantly lower prices than retail, I initiated the hosting of group splits/group orders. This undertaking aimed to make favorite anime merchandise more accessible and affordable for a broader community of anime enthusiasts. Through this collaborative approach, fans could collectively benefit from reduced costs while still obtaining sought-after items.
Recognizing that items on the mentioned website were frequently sold in extensive sets, I organized splits in my Telegram channel. This approach allowed individuals to pick the specific items they desired, while others had the opportunity to claim the remaining pieces if it suited their preferences. This method not only catered to diverse preferences but also fostered a collaborative and inclusive community within the Telegram channel.

Here's a snapshot of how each split was conducted: interested buyers could simply comment on their preferred design, and I kept record of their orders in a Google sheet. Once all items from a split were claimed, the consolidated order was forwarded to a proxy in Japan for processing and shipping to Singapore. Upon the arrival of the items in Singapore, I took the extra step of individually weighing each item, allowing for a fair and accurate split of the shipping fees. I then collected payments from buyers and offered them the flexibility to choose their preferred collection method, whether through a meetup or mailing service.
It's important to note that I did not seek any financial gain throughout this entire process. The fulfillment came from the joy of facilitating others in acquiring the items they cherished, contributing to a thriving community of satisfied anime enthusiasts!

An example of the arrival proof for splits and the small notes I give my buyers together with their items! And lastly my mail run proofs! Each individual maildrop proof will then be sent to the respective buyers.
